📣 The UMFCD Student Entrepreneurship Society and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research and Development in Dentistry (C.I.C.D.S.) announce that registration is now open for the Practical Microproduction Workshops in Digital Dentistry – 3D Scanning and Printing, held at the Digital Dentistry Laboratory. The Microproduction Workshops are organised as part of Project CNFIS-FDI-2023-F-0601 – “Developing Entrepreneurial Thinking through Innovation and Creativity in Response to Technological and Digital Transformations in Healthcare – DigiMed”.

📅 The workshops will take place according to the following schedule:
Module 1 – Workshops 1–3 (17–19 July 2023, 08:00–14:00)
During this module, students will identify and design graphical models using specialised software and generate .gcode files.
Module 2 – Workshops 4–6 (1–3 August 2023, 08:00–14:00)
During this module, students will scan a set of teeth and identify or design graphical models.
Module 3 – Workshops 7–9 (18–20 September 2023, 08:00–14:00)
During this module, students will print the sets of teeth using 3D printers.
Module 4 – Workshops 10–12 (16–18 October 2023, 08:00–14:00)
During this module, students will produce sets of artificial teeth for use in wax-ups of partial and complete dentures.

👪 There are 60 places available for the workshops, divided into three groups of 20 students. Each group will complete four workshops, one in each module. Every student is required to attend all four workshops, one from each module, according to the schedule above. The Microproduction Workshops will take place at the Digital Dentistry Laboratory within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research and Development in Dentistry (C.I.C.D.S.), at 19 Thomas Masaryk Street.

🦷 Students enrolled in the Faculty of Dentistry or in the Dental Technology programme at the Faculty of Midwifery and Nursing are eligible to register for the workshops, regardless of their year of study.
